America s Rights Or Venice Beaches Women s Choice For Life

If one were to research the number of social change groups in America, the results would be endless. Searching for a group focused on say â€Å"Abortion rights† will not simply come up with one monopolized group. In fact, there will be thousands upon thousands of results. These groups don t see typically see themselves as representing all people and all of their respected rights, it is much more specific. These groups want to focus on Central Austin’s women’s rights or Venice Beaches Women’s choice for life. Why is this? Why are there so many social change groups in America and how did this all start? The answer to this is that of peoples dire needs of civil rights, rights that aren’t special or specific, but rights that every American†¦show more content†¦For, if they were to individually oppose the abuse, no one would believe them. No one would believe a man that only two weeks prior was a slave and considered less than human. This was a discussion that many people were having all over the country, as they were wondering if the freedom of blacks actually meant freedom. In later years and as time progressed, many social change groups were formed as a result. The social change movements of this time consisted of black men trying to obtain the right to vote. There were others that focused on a black mans right to own property and land, and others focusing on women’s needs. As one can see, there isn’t a blanket group that can cover the needs and desires for all, it is simply unreasonable to think so. Even if there was an organization of people accomplished enough to believe that they could fight for the civil rights of every American in the country, they wouldn t be able to succeed without the help of smaller, local groups. The purpose of these groups is to be able to reach out to people on a comfortable level. People tend to find their homes, workplaces, and towns as comfortable places to express who they truly are. As a local social change group they would be able to reach people right at home, on the phone or otherwise. It’s a more comfortable platform to reach others and evidently people are more likely to comply if they find you familiar. This
